The recommendations of the comn.ittee include empowering the Government •Sa%'ings Bank to lend artisans 95 percent. on the cost of building houses, mak--ing available suitable Crown land about the suburbs, a vigorous policv. of house ■construi-tion by the - Government, and penritting people to live in canvas dwellings at Dacevville and in Centennial Park during t>he summer. The committee urges the introduction .of a Bill to regulate rents.
