TWO MEN -DROWNED

BLENHEIM, This Day. A sad drowning fatality occurred on the Wairau bar yesterday. William Aldridge junr., and, Edward Collett, both single men, were ci'oseing the bar inwards from Port Underwood in- an oil launch. The sea was very rough on the Jbar, and the boat capsizedi in the breakers. Both men were drowned. The bodies were washed up on the beach and recovered.
