AUTOMATIC STREET LIGHTING.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Your paragraph re automatic street lighting at Dunedin is hardly correct. The town of (Blenheim has had in use the same system (Alder and MacKay) of lighting for more than a year past, and it was as a result of inquiry and observation made there that I introduced the proposal to the City Council that Nelson should adopt this same system, being quite assured that it is satisfactory in working. The.City Council has now ordered the first instalment of plant, and hope to see the system m work here very shortly. I am, etc., W. W. SNODGRASS.
