MATCH AGAINST DERBYSHIRE. (Received May 8, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 7. For the match South Africans v. Derbyshire the weather was dull. The South Africans' last three wickets only realised six runs. Morton secured six wickets. With a lead of 7 runs, Derbyshire commenced their second innings, but rrade a disastrous start, Faulkner and Carter getting eight out for 46 before lunch. After lunch, however, Warren and 1 Humphries added 71 for the ninth wicket, and the innings closed for 129. Requiring 137 t<J win, the South Africans, when stumps were drawn, had lost 3 wickets for 81, the second wicket putting on 76 runs. .South Africans. —Ist innings (cont.)
