(Pfeffer, on December 12th, shot dead his sister-in-law, Florence Whiteley, at Albert Park. He had been paying his victim unwelcome, attentions for a .considerable time, and" the girl sought police protection. Pfeffer entered the liouso where Miss Whiteley was employed. She was sitting at dinner, when he put his arm round her neck. The .mistress of the himse, alarmed, rushed out,, and Jtho shooting immediately followed- Pfeffer surrendered to the police.)-
