FOOTBALL.
ROVER CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Rover Football Club was held on Friday, March 29th. Mr.Durbridge occupied the chair. The balance-sheet, showing a credit of £2 7s 3d, was read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the following year : —President, Dr. Pear less; vice-presidents, Messrs F. H. Dnrbridge, H. J. Harris, G. H. Johnson. P Virtue, F. Waterhouse, J. G. Wilkens. W; H. Pearless, W. Fawcett, and C. J. Harley; secretary and treasurer. Mr '•'.. Eves; club captain, Mr F. H. Durbridgs ; first juniors field captain, Mr L. A. Fowler; vice-captain, Mr L. Thomason .: third-class'captain, Mr E. Baigent; vicecaptain, Mr D. Batt; general, selection, and ground committee, Messrs L. Thon . son, L. Arnold, E. Eves, D. Batt, and ~E. Baigent. It was decided that the first jmr'fr .and a third-class team be entered l\..i tbr ■ Messrs J. Lucre and L. Kerr <-ci";elected delegates to the Rugby Union. Subscriptions for juniors were fixed at 55,. and for-third-class players at 2s 6d. A hearty vote of thanks to the chairman closed the meeting.
