'6edt. t The Overseer reported' that since last meeting the sand drifts as'far as the ""Play would go liad been finished at Tahunanui, and the road gravelled. The drift in Xjtnver Green-street was not vet completed. The main watei- course on' Parker's road from the main road to Fairey's corner required cleaning out before the wet season set in. The required cutting before this could be done. Mr Balck had done his portion, but Messrs Trhsk, T^airey, Cross, Coleman, and Bird had: not yet trimmed their hedges. ' *R. Shone should be allowed to remove side cutting to fill up the road in front of- his 'section to the level as the other part of the road. lii the Hope district water tables had; been cleared ;uid ploughed at Hart's < and Malcolm's cuttings. On the motion of Messrs Bartlett and Chisnall, the action of the. Chairman in granting permission to erect telephone poles on the §ea side of , the Beach road was approved. The City Council wrote' J(hat the request to give vehicles access to. the Sands Reserve,would'be attended to. Air H. Atmore, forwarded it copy of the Local Government Bill.— Received. Accounts amounting to £25 ?s 9d were passed for payment.
