PALMERSTON NORTH RAILWAY STATION.
EXTENSIVE ALTERATIONS. (UfiiiED Pkess Association.) PALMERSTON N.. This Day. The Minister of Railways announced to a deputation yesterday that plans were in preparation for extensive alterations to Palmerston railway station. The congestion of traffic has been serious during the last few years, and representations have been made by the Chamber o* Commerce. Mr. Millar savs that the alterations include the platform in the centre of the railway yard's being connected with the main platform by overhead bridges, and also additional buildings to be erected at the western end cf the present station.
