THE BISLEI MEETING. CANADIAN SIGHTS APPROVED. (United Press Association.) i LONDON, March 6. The National Kifie Association has cabled to the Canadian Association approving of the <Jesigns of sights submitted by it. THE TRENTHAM MEZTI.sG.

A BUSY.DAT. TREICfHAM. March 6. To-dav has bt-un a busy one on the Trentham range, as in addition to com pleting the Dre.iminary stage c t the championship. tae cnampion teams match, united service match, and an extra match at ICCO yards have been fired. It has also been a day of aggregates, the Bislev aggregate, which carlies with it the C'arkson Cup. the King's prize, £SO. and service aggregate having to be made up. Far mere important to the majority of competitors ■were the varying positions of the leaders in the aggregate. .Proceedings opened with the Hawke'o Bay Match at 900 yards, Loveday, who was, tvine with Atkinson in the lead, pat on 49 here, and: his opponent onlv made 44. MasefieJd, Milrov. and Banks were close in the running. In th:s match Clark, of Rangitikei. got a possible dospite a mirage. Four men just missed the possible, and 46's onlv just got in a programme of 50 prizes. The Taranaki Match. 1000 yards, the last in the King's series, was fired immediately afterwards. Again the scores of the leading men were, closely watched. The light was flickery, and as the youthful Loveday started in the first batch there was a crowd at his board. The.. weight of the lead was evidently playing up cn him, and he got 40. The word immediately went- round t'hat the shooting was difficult, and all along the mounds men broke up Dadlv. \\ ood (Christchurch) planked on a 49. and soon after Rcots. the 1911 champion, planked on. a 50. but it was too iate to be of anv good to him, .except to raise him a few nlaces in the aggregate. Atkinson onlv "got 36, which spoiit his chance-. jMasefield got' 47, which placed him next to Loveday with* but a g3p of six points. Gay (Kaponga) put on 49. but it did not disturb the aggregate, which left Lovedav with a 100 to 1 chance for "he belt, for it is doubtful if any man in New Zealand.can give him s:x points at 1000 vards. -in th? afternoon the Champion Teams Match was fired. Twentv-two teams started, but owinz to a misunderstanding as to the time limit at 300 vards, by which thev lost 5 shots the New Plymouth teayis. suffered severely. The scoring was very good, victory resting with the Opaki team, who put on 484. and therefore win the handsome district challenge shield. The highest indivividoal scorer was Chirnside. of Karori, who pat on 101. Duthie (Christchurch) abd Laking (Blenheim) both secured the coveted century. The Rifle Clubs' Championship for teams of five men was won by the Christchurch Rifle Club, the team being Wood, Sandford, Duthie, Henry, and Revnolds. - The United Service Match for teams of'2o men representing rifle clubs, and Territorials, at 300. 500. and £-00 yards, -was fired after the Teams Match, and concluded in darkness. The Territorials wdii by 34 points, and are the holders of the Dawson Shield for a vear. The scores were: Terrilorials 1715, Rifle Clubs 1681. The best individual score was Masefield 98- . , To-morrow morning the service championship for the highest 50 in the service matches will be taken, and at 3 o'clock the King's Match for the Ballinger Champion Belt at 1000 yards will be leading prize winners fo-day wertfollows I _ Bay Match, 900 yard*.. 10 shots.—Clarke (Rangitikei) £5, 50; Russell (PeUme) £4, 49; Munro (Murihiku), £4 49; Loveday (Woodville).
