As a sequel to a disturbance caused by a number of youths who assembled l ast Saturday night outsido Chinese fruit shops in Christchurch, Jas. Byrne, a fruit hawker, wa s charged at the Magistrate's Court on Saturday with doing an act which caused persons to congregate so as to impede the traffic in Casheistreet on tho night of Saturday. February 24tth. Tho case was {adjourn'd till Tuesday. defendant having b.en served with" the information only on Friday afternoon.
