The results were a.s follows : Hurdles: Mettle 1, Brownie 2, Oxbridge 3. Nine others started. Won by" three lengths. Tim e 3.42^-. Leger Handicap: Wilari 1. Jacamar 2, Crown Grant 3. Wilari led into the straight, and Jacamar then made a run, but Wilari won by a neck. Inno 3.124. ~ _ . ! Newmarket Handicap : Desire 1, Desert Rose and Mountain Princess dead heat for second place. All ran. Obsono had the advantage at the distance, with Captain White, Popinjay Desert Rose, and Mountain Princess all heading in a line. Desire, who had maintained her position on the ''fins from Iho starl, won by a length. Inno 1 13-' 'Sires' Produce Stakes: Sheriff 1, Wolawa 2, Tadanga 3. The other garters were Sikander, Kwasiuo and Gold Brew. In the straight Sheriff shot out and drew away, winning easily by a length. Time 1.154. Essendon Handicap: Trafalgar 1. | Comedv King 2, Cadonia 3. . 1 lio " hers were Flavcl, Matourec, Prize l-ighter, , and Sasouifc. Comedy King led past' Iho abattoirs, but on the inside was passed by Trafalgar, who led into the. straight, and drew away easily. Comedy King was hard ridden.
