THE LIBERALS WAKING UP. GENERAL ELECTION PENDING.
(Received June 23 10.30 a.m.) OTTIAWA.. Thursday. The Government is preparing- for a general election. It is believed that if the Conservatives, after the House resumes, continue the opposition 'to reciprocity with America, Sir Wilfrid Laurier will appeal to the coun. try. The success of the western tour of Mr.Bord'en, Leader of the Opposition, is believed to be impressing the Liberals with- the need of early action. .Mr. ißorden urges .the prairie i'armer s - to develop their own chilled meat industry with the aid of the Government, instead of depondring on Australian and New Zealand supplies. ' ;
