In the Chamber, the Foreign Minister, referring to the Potsdam pourparlers, said he was convinced that the interests of Turkey in the Persian Gulf would not suffer. He denied that pourparlers were proceeding between Germany and Britain upon the Boghdad railway. Turkey had been assured that such pourparlers' would only take place with Turkey. The greatest cordiality existed iri Anglo-Turkish relations. The Chamber approved of the statement.
