NELSON PEOPLE'S TERMINATING BUILDING SCGIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS.
The annual meoting of shareholders of the Terminating Building fcociety was held last evening. Tnere was a small attendance. . Mr W. Moyes, director, was voted to the chair. . The directors' report, read by tne secretary, Mr D. B. Edwards, was as follows: — . , "Your directors have mncn pleasure in submitting the sixth annual report and balance sheet for the* ear. vhieh, with the balance, viz., £241 14s 2d brought forward from last year, shows a credit in profit and loss account of £274 Islod. During the vear four appropriations have been maae three by ballot and one by tender, absorbing £1549 6s Bd, and another £251 13s 4d to pay out after it has accumulated. The total number of shares in the Society is 394 The following directors retire, hut are eligible and offer themselves for re election :-M«ssr_ T. A. Field; JShileds. and W. G. Vining.Thelialance sheet and statement ot profit' and loss account were taken as "m; Boon moved, and Mr H, Baigent (Masonic) seconded, that the report and accounts as presented be adopted— Carried. The retiring directors were re elected, and Mr _?. A. Bamfora asshareholders' auditor. Acknowledgement was made of tne cervices rendered by the directors, and the able manner in which the -secretary (Mr D. B. Edwards) carried out his duties. Votes of thanks were passed to the directory and secretary also to the press and chairman of the meeting. _
