ANNUAL MEETING. \ (United Press Association.) FEILDING, Frdsy, • The annual meeting of the New Zea. land Hereford Cattle Breeders' Association was held here to-day, Mr J. McGregor (president) in the chair. The annual report stated the Herefords are making headway in New Zealand. The publication of volume XI. had been completed. It contains the registration of 168 bulls and 826 cows and heifers. It was decided to obtain 40 copies of the "History of Hereford Cattle." Mr McGregor, the retiring president, was elected an honorary member. ' Jt was resolved to offer a special prize at the 1910 Gisborne Show for a" pen of three^yearold crosbred Hereford bullocks. It was made a recommendation to the council to offer a special prize for the best two year-old bulock at any leading agricul- . tural show. Mr F. W. Arbon was elected president, Mr G. M. Currie vice-president, and Messrs E. Short and C A. J. Levett, councillors. jy ■■ ■ i
