THE RIVERSDALE RAILWAY.
(United Phes. Assocation.) GORE, Friday. Mr D. Bud_(p to-day opened the Ri-versdale-Switzers railway Jine, which was first authorised in 1678. "The fir»t contract was let in 1883, and the rails were laid for two miles in 1900, but one : Sunday a gang of platelayers were sent to the locality and they tore up the rails and sleepers. The railway is 14 miles Tn length, and it opens up good agricultural land and mining areas. ' Its approximate cost was £58,000. The Minister goes north to-morrow.
