The Royal Commissioner appoint_3 t§i inquire into the question of a compul? sory Saturday half-holiday, reports against the proposal. He finds that the evldenoe disclosed that Saturday afternoon and evening were the most profitable times in the week for shopkeepers, and there was not sufficient reason shown why they should be compelled to suffer pecuniary loss.
