CORRESPONDENCE.
THE NELSON FREEZING COMr PANT. ; TO TEE ESITOB. r iSir,— As tho season for killing at 1 the above company's works is likely to commence before the annual meet- ', ing takes place, the shareholders i should know on what lines^ the diL rectors intend running this season. I We should insist that the company 1 act as agents only and not speculate f with shareholders' money in the ' purchase of meat for export. An- , other point that should be seen to is ' that an expert grader be appointed, . so that our brands could bo depended » on by the buyers (we are likely to i suffer through last season's stuff being sent Home without efficient , grading). As farmers we want to ' know that our meat is to be handled * in the Ibest possible manner. If the ; Directors could see their way to meet ' the shareholders at an early date, at the most convenient centres, and [ give all information possible, it i would benefit all concerned. Hoping that shareholders will take tho mat- . ter up. j I am etc., I ARTHUR SHIRTLIFFE, [ Sheepfarmer. Hope, 25/9/09.
