The Ljtteltjom Harbour Bioard I'ur*"ther'discussed the majority and minority reports of the Canal Finance Committee. i An amendment, to the adoption of the m'aierity "report to the effect that a special'finance committeo be set up and obtain assistance from a Wellington and an Auckland accountant' was negatived by, ten votes to thTee. A motion for the adoption of the majority report, whichwas adverse to the construction of the canai, was agreed by ten votes to three, he decision of the majority of die Boardwill probably result in the canal question being s'helved for -SOme time.
