THE KYNOCH CUP.
Awarded to rthe highest aggregate scorer in the "snap-shooting" and "cover" service matches. The following marksmen secured "possibles," -with fourteen hits, scoring 70 points each: — Capt. Barltrop, Feilding; Pte. Drummond, Denniston; Rifleman Mosten, Kaeo; Pte. Anderson, Kaitangata; Sergt. Stephens, Ashburton; Rifleman Standish, Tarata; Pte. Pearson, Timani; Pte. Proffitt, Napier; Rifleman Kitchen, Upper Hutt; Bugler Wayte, Mataura; Pte. Eden, Nelson; Gunner Watson, Wellington; Lieut. Merrielee?, Johnsonville. The above competitors, having tied in aggregate scores for the Cup, will be required to fire seven shots at 500 yards, "loop-hole cover" conditions, probably to-day. Yesterday's "The Dominion" says: —"Shooting has been exceptionally good all round, but the start which has been made by Rifleman Milroy, of Nelson, is worthy of especial notice. The ex-champion so far has fired thirty shots in the Championship series, and has registered twenty-five bull'.<•eyes and five inners, his total, 145, giving him the present lead in the aggregate." (Milroy ia now fourth in the aggregate.)
