ADDRESS BY CAPTAIN COLLINS.
TRENTHAM, Saturday. ': The weather conditions to-day are a repetition of those of the two previous days, but it is excessively hot. There were excelent conditions for shooting after the early morning mist lifted, when the squads were lined up preparatory to marching off. Colonel Collins was greeted with applause when he announced that an extra £100 had been allocated to tha prize list, £50 to be divided as a consolation match for those who had not won £1, and from 51 to 100 in the Championship final. The Colonel also congratulated the Association upon the excellent en-try,-which, taken in comparison with the size of the coutnry, was greater than that o fiheJJisley meeting with Britain's millions oi population to draw from. He hoped to see the day when our meeting would he equal to that of Bisley.
