NAPIER, Monday. Tli" balance-sheet of the Napier Ga? Company, presented at the annual mep'ing to-day, showed a profit of £6708. An interim dividend was paid on J iino 30, and the directors recommended a further dividend amounting to £3746; also £1200 lo be credited to the meter fund and £1760 carried forward. The Chairman's report stated that in order to cope with. the increased demand a new gasholder of 160,000 cubic feet capacity was being erected at Hastings nnd one of 115,000 at Port Auhriri The consumption of gas showed an increase of 13g- per cent, over 1907. In order to provide funds for improvement the Board was < al! ing up part of the uncalled capital.
