WHAT IS A HAPPY MARRIAGE

It surely is that one where both parties are happy, because both love truly and unselfishly. They realise to its sweetness and fullest extent that they have taken each other as life partners, so that their joys and pleasures may be shared — aye! an! better still, their sorrows and anxieties too, which their combined sympathy does much to lessen and soften. There is no difference of equality between tho husband and wife of a happy marriage. To their way of thinking both are equal, and they, therefore, consult the comfort and tastes of each other, practice mutual forbearance, and never dream of doubting the affection of one another, and thus harmoniously, happily, and trustfully walk hand in hand along life's sometimes rough and stony way. Such a marriage is. without doubt, what nature first ordained, and when it exists is found to bo a wise, healthy, and happy one.
