HOCKEY.
The Nelson ladies' hockey representativft team which took part in the hockey tournament at Wellington, returned homo yesterday. The Nelson team tied for second place iv the tournament, a fact on wliich they are to bo congratulated. Members of the team speak in hieh term*) of the hospitality extended on every hand during their stay in tho Empire City. In the first round of the tournament Nelson and Wairarapa played a drawn iranie. It was then found that these teams had tied for second place in the championship, and the play-off resulted in honours again ending even. '
