AUCKLAND ASSIZES.
[Unhid Pbess Association.] AUCKLAND, Monday. At the Supreme Court to-day Thomas Fannin? Marchband and Henry Wilson, youths, aged 18 years each, were sentenced to two yeail;' imprisonment for breaking, entering and theft. Both admitted previous convictions. Marchbank pleadled not guilty to three charces of theft from premises which he admitted entering. The Judge said it was useless to proceed with the charses. as he would not sentence the vo-uth to an extra day. Arthur Welham Fox. who pleaded guilty to theft from a dwelling and attempted arson, ur_red that he did not mean any harm, a_s it was all done in a fit of temper. He was sentenced to four years. A decree nisi was granted in the divorce rasa Lucie Maxwell v. Christopher I Maxwell, the wife's petition, on tbe eround of misconduct.
