A throe-year-old child was burned to death at Opoutika on Saturday by falling into a fire. , NAPIEE, Monday. A fatality occurred at Hastings on I Saturday. A kerosene stove, which , was being used in the house of a ! family named Mitchell, caught fire, and was thrown outside. A little girl named Jemima Mitchell, in running round tbe house, fell over the , stove while it was still burning, her | clothing catching fire. She sustained j severe injuries, which necessitated | her removal to the Napier hospital, where she died on Sunday night.
