SENTENCES ON HABITUAL CRIMINALS.

AUCKLAND, Monday. At tho Supreme Court this morning three sentences were subjected to indeterminate sentences. They were John Lennon, found guilty of forgery and uttering, who admitted that he had served three separate sentences from IB months to two years; Zane Isadore Percy, who some time ago had a meteoric career as "Lord Northesk" ; and Charles Henry Cox, who was first sent to goal ten years ago at 19 years of age, and had since a brief period of liberty. The last was now found guilty of breaking and entering and theft, and was sentenced to three years' imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal Alexander. Henry McTavish, charged with shooting with intent at Herbert Snete, second mate of the steamer Quito, and with attempted suicide, pleaded that ho was so drunk that he had *no knowledge of what he was doing.
