ENTERTAINMENT AT TRAFALGAR PARK.

THE MEN-O'-WARSMEN. There was a very large attendance at Trafalgar Park on Saturday evening, when the Citizens' Band and members of the crews 'of the warships Pioneer and Pyramus gave a variety entertainment. The very satisfactory sum of £24 16s was taken at the gates, and this will go towards the Band's funds. The programme included selections by the band ; songs, "Boys of the Old Brigade," and "The Northrop (Pioneer); comic song, "Mr Knick-Knock," Steward Walker (Pioneer) ; Bailors' hornpipe, Steward Walker; song, "The Singing Master," Steward Saxty (Pyraraus) ; song, "The Singer was Irish," Signalman Bright, (Pioneer) ; comic parody, Seaman Johnson (Pioneer) ; two comic sketches, "Didn't we Fight for England in the Future " and "Round the World on a Safety Pin," Seamen Long and Lyons (Pioneer) ; tambourine and bone solo, Messrs A. Aydon and Hindley (Citizens' Band); magnophone selections, Mr F. N. Jones junr., including a fine record of an overture played by the Besses o' th' Barn Band. Mr T. Shone junr. assisted as accompanist. The entertainment was a very successful one, many of the contributions being applauded. After the performance the Citizens' Band entertained the men-o'-warsmen at a social, when a very pleasant time was spent. An invitation was extended to the Band to visit H.M.S. Pioneer on Sunday afternoon, but the rough sea prevented the invitation being accepted.
