Addison, who won the King's Prize at Bisley, scored 48 at 800 yards, total l'ns 241, against Sergt. Ommunsden and Privates Batas 243. Hope Scored 240. Addisou, Ommunsden and Hoare were equal at 900 yards with a score of £82; Padgett 279. Padgett had been hailed as the winner for some time, when it was rumoured that a protest had been lodged. The Council hald a mating on ths spot, and decided. that the Raage-master's issue of -an extra round of ammunition contravened bylaw 182. Hence Padgett was only 316, md was placed fifth, winning £20. During the sheet-off a huge crowd en•■ircled Addison and Hope, including F,ord Roberts and all the Australians on the ground. Both marksmen were' cool in 1 collected, and scored i liners for sighters. Then Addison rung on a bullseye and an inner, followed by another bullssye, total 14. Hope's three "shots were an inner and a cpuple of magpies, total 10. Addison was hoisted in a chair and carried around the camp, headed by the band of the Liverpool Volunteers. Half the bearers of the chair were Australians and the- Vest belonged to Hope's corps and the London Rifle Brigade. Piincess Christian pinned on the gold medals. ' The victory was cxtrenrsly popular. Tho Canadians gave Addison en mimenss reception. Several other Australians won prize money in the match. The winners last year were : Ist stage, Sergt. Reid, Ist Lanark V.R.C. (100), bronze medal; 2nd stage, Sergt. H. Ommunsden (191), Queen's, Edinburgh, silver medal ; 3rd. stage, Capt. R. Davies, Ist Middlesx V.R.C. (324), (gold badge and £250). Trooper W. Craster, Rhodesia, was 2nd with 323 (N.R.A. badge and £60); Sergt. W. Tatlow and V. B. Gloucester, 3rd, with 320 each (N.R.A. badge and £40).] _^
