LONDON MARKET REPORT. Me srs Bisley Bros. & Co. report havirg received the following from their London agents, Messrs Lalgety & Co., Ltd., dated 22nd inst. : — Wool (May sales).— The list 'f arrivals is closed. The new arr h amounted to 352,000 bales, of wh 197,1 00 have been forwarded direot to manufacturers at Home and abroad, leaving 160,000 bales available for sale (inclusive of 5000 bales carried forward from March series). B-utter. - The Copenhagen official quotation is lower by 4 kroner (about it 6d) per cwt, The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending 13th inst. amounted to 111,000 cwt., as comtarel with 77.000 cwt. for the corresponding week last year. Maiket dull and tendency downwards. Primo factory butter, salted 1 9Gs, nnsalted 98s. The decline is very marked in the case of all qualities except finest. Fiozen Meat. — Mutton : Any change in prices is in favour of buyers. Beef : and Lamb : Prices are firm. : : Tallow : Foor demand for tallow, and | buyers are holding back. Prices generally are lower by Is per cwt. Hides, Leather, and Basils. — Market : dull and tendency downwards. A further message from the Company's Melbourne branch states that the market there for hides (medium, inferiors, heavies, and light) shows a decline of Jd a lb.
