A TRADES MARK CASE.
[United Pbess Association.] WELLIJ-.GTON, Monday. In the Court of Appeal the case Lever Bim v. Newton & Sons io being heard. The parties are soap manufacturers, and the question is whether the respondents were properly allowed the registration of tradj mark with the words '• Rising Sun " in connection with a particular brand offoap. The Registrar had decided in the respondents' favour, and on appeal his decision was confirmed by the Chief Justice. Air Youcg, for respondents, raised a preliminary point tbat there was no right of appeal from the Supreme Court to the Appeal Court allowed by tbo Patents, designs, and Trade Marks Act of 1889. - \ "**— ~ '
