ESCAPES OF PRISONERS.
[United Pbess Association.— Copsbiqhx.] . (Received 9.48 a.m.) £ LAUNCESTON, Friday. Two handcuffed prisoners escaped from the Campbelltown Gaol, detaching an upright from the wall and battering in a hole. SYDNEY, Friday. A long-sentence prisoner named Cant j escaped from Berrima Gaol, utilising a pole to climb a wall. He then jumped 20ft and got away.
