THE BLUFF BRIDGE.
Progress in the erection of the Alexander Bluff bridge is but slow; in fact, work has been suspended there for some time owin§, it is said, to want of timber, that which had been procured by the contractors having been condemned as unsuitable, Those on the other side or the river are not too well pleased at the long delay in the construction. The opinion is expressed that matters would probably be expedited had some local body (say the Nelson City Council) control in the matter of
the specifications.
