CORRESPONDENCE.

THE FRUIT FLY.

To the Editor.

Sir, — The two insects in a bottle sent were caugbt. on a window in our house yesterday, and I and other subscribers to the "Mail" think they coincide with the description of the "Queensland fruit fly" given in your Saturday's issue. I have seen insects of this description on the windows of my house for some weeks past, and remarked on them being a new variety to me. If it is not troubling you I should like your opinion. ' I am, otc. , JAMES COLES. "Sonning," 88 Valley, Wokefield, 15.4. '07.
