POSTAL CARD REDUCTION.
THE PROPOSAL DEFERRED. (United Pbess Association. — CoptBIQHT.j WELLLNGTON, Monday. Tho suggestion made by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce that the postage on postcards should be reduced to * half-penny has been considered by the Acting-Postmaster-General, who states that pending the results of the reductions made, in postage and telegram rates in November last it has been tbonght desirable to defer favourable consideration foratime.
