SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARIES.
Sunday School anniversary celebrations 'have been quite genera/1 in> the Richmond Methodist circuit! i ■lately. I On November 25th, ' anniversaryservices were held at Gordon and Upper WakefieUl. The 'Rev. C- Roberts, of'Motuoka, conducted the afternoon service at Gordon, and the 'evening service"' at* Wakefield, whilst Rev. C. Aker, of Kuniara, preached at the latter place itu the 'afternoon. AH these services! wore well attended and much enjoyed. 'On Friday last the annual prizegiving was held at the Upper Wakefield Church, when there- was an 'excellent attendance. The, meeting was presided ovor by the Minister (Rev. S. Poryman). who presented the prizes io the scholars. Piedious to tha presentation of prizes a very creditable programme consisting of choruses.- songs, duets, and recitations and dialogue was rendorod by the scholars and teachers. Miss Tunnicliffa presided at the organ. Tho report showed the school to lie in a 'flourishing condition, tho number 'of (scholars on roll being 31, with an average attendance of 2tJ. tho teachers numbering four. A collection jvas 'taken at th.^ door, and so )i?>eral was ths res ponse that 'the school starts its new year Rith a substantial balance in hand. Two 1 b"'autifully bound Bfbles, ' the gift of an old Sunday School 'teacher, were presented to the Misses Cropp and Baigont during the evening. Thesu ladies 'and the other teachers, together with lthe SuperrnU-ndenl (Mr F, TunniclilTe) are worthy of the highest praise 'for their labours in connection with the school.
