V A NELSON RESOLUTION. SYMPATHY WITFTHE DUKE OR FIFE. * Reference was made at the public meeting held at the Provincial Hall last evening to hear an address by the Rev. Mr Matthews (Secretary to the British and Foreign Sailors Society) to the illness of the Princess Royal information concerning which reached the colonies through tho medium of the cable a few days ago. Mr Matthews at the outset of his address told his audience that before leaving on his tour the Duke of Fife had written wishing the mrssioner every success in the colonies, and expressing a hope that great good would result for the British and Foreign Sailors' Society. The Duke, Mr Matthews said, had shown great interest in the work of the Society, and he therefore moved the fol- ! Wins resolution, requesting that the Bishop Of Noison would forward it ' on : — "That this meeting desires to express rts cordial sympathy to His Grace the Duke of I'ifo in the illnoss of H R H the Prmeeas Royal, hi. wjfe, and hopes tor her speedy and complete restoration to health. Bishop Mules consented to do as requested, and the resolution will be conveyed to the Duke of Fife in due pqurse,
