The Ngatimoti Committee was granted 30s for repairs to a chimney. Mr Esmy Thomason wrote offering to fell and grass the school site at the I Upper Tadmor village on condition tliat he t be allowed to use the land until it is required for a school site.— Agreed to for seven years, land to be kept clear of noxious weeds. The application of the Town Schools Committee for artificial lighting for some of the schools was ordered to stand over. It was resolved to forward to the Government the same Committee's application for payment for flag3. Three applications were received for the Matiri teachership, and it was resolved to forward to tha Committee the names of Misses Cameron and Hodgkmson. For the Reefton pupil teachership four applications were received and it was decided to forward all the names, namely Misses Gallagher, Williams, Clark, and Arnold. len applications were received for the Lower Takaka pupil teachership, and it was resolved to forward the names of Misss Gallagher, Arnold, Cowin, Heyward, Langford, and Davies. For the 88 Valley teachership three applications were received, and it was decided to forward the name of Miss L. M. Clayden. Some routine West Coast business was also transacted, the day's sitt'ng occupying till after 4 o'clock.
