TREATMENT OF BOER WOMEN
DUTCH NURSES CONVINCED. Ihe evil and lying reports of the condition and treatment of the Boer women in the .fort Jblizabeto. Camp (saya the Cape " Laily Telegraph") reached the sympathetic ears of her Majesty the Queen of Holland. Her Majesty thereupon despatched three qualified and trusted nurses to this colony, with instructions that they were to assist in ameliorating Lho lot of the Boer women prisoners. The nurses have arrived here. They have had every facility placed in their way by the locaL authorities to fully investigate the position and treatment of the tfoer wo* men. The result of the personal inspection of these ladies is to convince them that there is really no need for their services here. The women are being comfortably housed, comfortably and considerately treated, and well fed. The nurses are going to employ their talents more profitably to humanity elsewhere, and thus another pro-Boer concoction has been officially disposed of.
