The graduated abatements on income tax on amounts between _£.00 and £700 would absorb £1,000,000, and tbe obanges in the death duties and land tax would take £205,000. Tbe reduotion of (3d per lb on unmanufactured tobacco ns well aa a proportionate reduction on tobacooes, except olgftrs, would absorb £1,1-0,000, The expenditure included i' 281,000 for giants to Scotland and tho < West Indies.
