CADET CORPS FOR STATE SCHOOLS.
[United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 23. It is understood that if the Eduoation Boards take up the oadet movement in earnest the Government will submit pro* posals to Parliament on the subject. In Victoria and New South Wales lads are very enthusiastic, and although the Commandant has control tbe administration is carried on by the Education Boards, tn VVellington six companies could bs formed wtth a membership of 500. Cadets will have lo find their own uniforms, aud the Government will supply small rifles and accoutrements, and drill instructors. Holders of certificates wiilbe entitled to enter volunteer corps.
