DUNEDIN, This Day. The Laira was successfully floated this morning. THE POLICE COMMISSION. [United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 22. "The Police Commission was engaged all tbis morning hearing evidence robutting statements made yesterday that a large number of [.eople hid entered certnio hotels on the provious Saturday. In the oase of Tatttrsalls', the evidence went to show that only boarders and bona fide travellers were supplied.
