HOLIDAY ACCIDENTS.
A few holiday accidents have to be recorded, but none of a serious.nsture. At Motuokn Mi- Chittenden ivas struck by a cricket ball, sustaining a sevoro and very painful bio iv. In climbing over a point, which he had to do to avoiS tho tide, his foot slipped, and he fell a depth of 14 f eot among the rooks, where he lay for upwards of an hour before ro- [ covering. Ho at last mado himself heard by his matos in the boat, who came to his assistance, and removed him to one of the several parties on the beach, whore ho received every attention from kind friends. All will bo glad to learn that beyond a severe shaking he is none the worse. On Sunday a painful acpident happened to Mr Beardmore at the Riwaka Dote]. He was about to start for his homo at Takaka and had mounted his horse when tho animal reared up, threw the rider, and at the same time kicked him just abovo tho oyo, inflicting a deep wound. Dr Deck was soon in attendance, aud tho patient is favourably. .
