ANMUAL SHOWThe Show was fairly well attended yesorday afternoon and evening Attheformal pening in the afternoon the Mayor (Mr ■ . Traslv referred in complimentary terms o the general excellence of the exhibits, nil expressed a hope that the Society rould receive substantial support from the mblic. Visitors to the Show found plenty to idmire, although, as has alroady been tated, the unseasonable weather consideribly affected the number and quality of ,he exhibits. The arrangements were all rery good, thanks to Mr A. E. Mansford's :areful supervision as Secretary. For the itaging the credit is due to Mr S. Bolton md Mrs Merrick. Afternoon tea was dispensed by Miss Bell, anssistcd by Miss Gascoigne, and in he evening pianoforte selections were played by Mrs anil Miss Greenfield and \liks Flett, and songs were contributed by Miss Hannah Beeves and Mr ■iiduey Trask. The judges were:— For bouquets, button- holes, designs, etc., Miss (Jock, ' Mrs Bannehr, and Mrs Calders ; for sut flowers and fruits, etc., Mr Bolton, jun., anil Mr S.
