[United Press Association.] * WeliLlnqtoi*-, This Day. Tho Hon Mr Carroll arrived at Wairoa yesterday after a harduous trip through the Weiwera country. He and his party met heavy rain aud snow stomis. They had to camp for two nights on the road, and the food ran short. A large meeting of natives was held at Tenuti, where arrangements come to at Tewhaiti were confirmed. In a fortnight's time the whole of the trig stations will be fixed. Mr Carroll wilt remain at Gisborne for a few days on account of his wife's ill health.
