Fire in Auckland.
Auckland, This Day. About two o'clock this morning a fire was discovered in the grocery establishment of M"r Senischka at, the toot of Gioy Street. The ilaines were first discovered by a constable on duty, who forced opjn the front door and found that the lire had a firm hold, having commenced in the second story, occupied by the Australian Clothing Factory Mr .Ehrmann, is proprietor of the block in which the building is situated Itisbuiltofbiick,butthe whole of the inside has been practically burned. A great deal of Mr Schischka's large stock of groceries, and Mr Ehrmann's clothing materials have been destroyed. The ground floor was occupied by Mr W. J. Cooke as a bottler's establishment, and is damaged by water. The cause of the fire is unknown. The brick building, of the value of £2500, is insured for £1000 in the North German Office. Mr Ehrmann's stock is insured for £ 1000 in the North German, and £1000 in the South British. He estimates that he is undei'-insured Ijy £1000. Mr Schischka's stock is insured for' £1000' in tho Commercial Union, and £500 in the South British. He is underihsured by £2000. Mr C'ookc's stock and fittings are insured in the Royal for £200.
