Encouraging Industries.
[United Press Association.] Wellington-, This Day. _lhe Government has decided to encourage the coul industry by making a reduction of twenty per cent in railway freight on all coal intended for export. It has also resolved, in the interests of the fartners, that grass seed grown in the country, and sent by rail to any of the towns, in order to be dressed sliail be carried free on railways, provided the seed is for the bonajiic use of fanners.
