Charges against a Fish Dealer.
[United Press Association.] Duxedix, April 25. At the Police Court to-day, six charges were brought against a fish" dealer, three being for having m his possession fish under the prescribed sizes, and three for exposing the same for sale. At the suggestion of MrGarew, S.M., the police withdrew the charge, which was partly entered on the Act of 1888, repealed so far as sea fishing was concerned by the Act of 1894. Under the latter Act there were no regulations prescribing the size, etc., of fish, and the police had to take the regulations under tho repealed Act. Kven these, the counsel for the defence Baid, might prove to be ultra vires. In view of the difficulties, tho charges were withdrawn.
