FLOWER SHOW.
To Ihb Editor oj? the ''Evening Mail." Sib -Can you inform me if tbe Horticultural Society intends holding a Chrysanthemum show during the present Autumn, and if bo, is there a date fixed yet? I planted a few varieties thia season simply for aecoratlve purposes, but as they developed into nice strong plants, I had them trained for exhibition blooms. Some are now showing buds, and the rest will soon follow suit, but not knowing the date of the show, if there is to be one, I am in doubt ■whether to take these buds, or let the plants run on to the next break. A little information is necessary. Surely it is time the date was announced; a large number of Societies in the Australian Colonies announce their dates in the Spring-time, why is the flower-garden of New Zealand so bwkwaid ?— I am, etc. , A New Eesident.
