Wellington, This Day. The first case uuder the new Liceusing Aot came before the bench to-day, when the licensee of the Albion Hotel wascharged with supplying liquor to a child under 13 years old. Defendant's counsel said that there was a general impre39ion in tho trftde that the Aot did not ome into forco till March. The Resident Magistrate s;ud that he would not enter up a conviction, bufc the defendant must pay the cosfc, and the trade could take this a3 a warning.
